What occurs during an initial orthodontic exam?
Dr. Matar will meet with you and do a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth. This will allow him to determine a treatment process for misaligned jaws, crooked or improperly spaced teeth as well as crowded teeth. This will allow him to determine if you are a good candidate for Orthodontic care or if another form of treatment is needed.
Once a diagnosis is made, Dr. Matar can decide on the right kind of treatment, which in most cases involves using braces. He will also determine which braces will work the best for your treatment. Unlike in the past, there are many different options available as opposed to the traditional metal braces.
If you are ready for orthodontic treatment, Dr. Matar will take impressions of your teeth, special x-rays of your jaw, head and teeth, as well as measurements of your teeth and mouth.
